No, Unfortunately I do not work on top of someone else's work. Due to various os lash adhesives on the market, it's very dangerous to mix different glues. If you book after your 3 week mark, then you will need a new set *If you arrive to your 2 to 3 week refill appointment and you have less than 1/2 of your extensions on from your last visit, then you will be required to get a full set and will be charged the for the full set that you initially received. Please review our entire policy related to cancellations and inclement weather. Inclement Weather: Snow Storm and Inclement Weather Policy We want to let all of our valued clients know what our expectations are regarding snow storms or forecasted inclement weather situations. Our cancellation policy remains in effect during these times but we have tips to help you make your decision when these situations arise. WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING IN THE SNOW We ask that you keep an eye on the weather forecast when you have an upcoming appointment and reschedule it with at least 48 hours of notice if, in general, you are concerned about driving in the snow. We typically wait to see exactly what the weather is going to be like before we make the decision to open or close the salon. If you aren’t comfortable waiting to hear whether we will be open or not and don’t want to risk being charged a fee, we recommend that you move your appointment just so you have peace of mind. REMEMBER: PLEASE GIVE US AT LEAST 48 HOURS OF NOTICE TO AVOID ANY CANCELLATION FEES . Click here for more information about our cancellation policy. For those of you who are okay waiting for us to make the call as we get closer to the predicted day of inclement weather, feel free to keep your appointment in our schedule. We will ABSOLUTELY close the salon during times when we are advised to stay off the roads or if there is a winter storm warning and we will not charge cancellation fees for appointments that we reschedule due to the salon closing. However, if it’s just normal New England winter snow, we typically stay open and you can expect to be able to come in for your appointment. (DISCLAIMER: Please make your decision based on what you feel is safe and cancel if you feel it’s not in your best interest to drive on the roads even if it means you will be charged a fee.) Barbies by Arie | Elle.Châteaux cannot guarantee weather conditions. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your appointment prior to the appointment date if severe weather conditions are imminent, or if we have reason to believe that you or the service provider may be in any danger before, during and/or after leaving your appointment. Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to procedure. 4. Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure. Avoid Fish Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, Nutritional Shakes (Shakeology, etc), “Hair, Skin, Nail” supplements 48 hours prior to procedure. 5. Before discontinuing any skin care treatments please get a medical release form from your doctor or dermatologist before you discontinue. I advise to discontinue Retin-A at least 4 weeks prior (and avoid on eyebrow area after procedure). Must bring doctors note. 6. Refrain from use of any Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior (and avoid on eyebrow area after procedure). 7. Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided 1 month prior to procedure for those who do not regularly receive injectables. 8. Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. I do not reccomend getthing this service during your menstural cycyle.
  • What are the aftercare instructions?
MICROBLADING POST-CARE 1.Keep the the brow area clean by using a natural fragrance-free gel cleanser (such as Cetaphil) and water. Hands must be freshly clean . Avoid use of abrasive washcloths or sponges. 2. Gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5 minutes for the full day until oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph. Apply the after care ointment given (for the amount of days recommended by your artist) with freshly washed hands or a Q-Tip. 3. DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss! 4. COMPLETELY avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring. 5. Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 3 weeks. 6. Avoid sweating for a full 10 days. Any physical effort, gym, hot weather, any other activity that may cause sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment from the dermis producing poor results. 7. Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 10 days. 8. Keep your bangs and hair pulled back from your face for the first 10 days. 9. NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for two weeks. 10. NO facials, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks. 11. NO botox for 4 weeks. We recommend that it’s best to wait until after your touch up heals to get Botox, as an educated injector will take your new brows into consideration when choosing where to inject. 12. After 10 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading. Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure. Avoid Retin-A, Chemical Peels and Microderms around the brow area once healed. Here are some extra tips to help with a smooth and easy recovery: Use a fresh pillowcase Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of colour No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors. Avoid heavy sweating and long hot showers for the first 10 days. Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days Avoid swimming, lakes, hot tubs for the first 10 days Avoid topical makeup including sunscreen on the area DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Important Reminders Remember, with the proper prep and aftercare routine you will have much better results with your microblading procedure. Don’t forget your new favourite acronym: AWM - Absorb, Wash, Moisturize! Important note about showering: Limit your showers to 5 minutes so you do not create too much steam. Keep your face/procedure area out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Your face, or procedure area, should only be getting wet at the very last end of the shower. Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.
  • What is the healing process like?
Healed microblading results are the most beautiful and natural looking way to enhance eyebrows, but the path leading to those anticipated healed results can be a little bit surprising. In addition to following the microblading aftercare instructions, understanding the microblading healing process is essential to avoid undue worry and stress while going through the different stages of healing. *PLEASE NOTE: EVERYONE HEALS DIFFERENTLY SO THESE TIMES ARE ONLY A GENERAL GUIDELINE. MICROBLADING HEALING TIMELINE DAY 1: Eyebrows look amazing immediately after microblading appointment Pigment gradually gets darker through out the day WEEK 1: Pigment reaches darkest level on day two Light scabbing develops where microblading strokes occurred WEEK 2: Scabbing from microblading strokes begin to peel and flake off, sometimes revealing no definite, visible color in skin WEEKS 3-4: Pigment in skin continues to oxidize and microbladed strokes begin to reappear in color intended from the beginning, but some strokes come back looking patchy WEEK 6: Eyebrows fully healed and ready to undergo the finishing effects of touch-up appointment Beautiful eyebrow enhancement/transformation is complete after final touch-up
  • Do you reccommend getting the touch ups after my initial appointment?
MICROBLADING TOUCH-UP APPOINTMENT Yes, its is highly reccomended to get the 1st touch up to make sure that the pigment from the initial sesson has been implanted into the skin evenly. The touch up appointment makes is considered of going over missed spots and evening out the look for longevity. Gorgeous microblading results are best achieved by dismissing any doubts while undergoing the healing stages of microblading, and continuing to follow the microblading aftercare instructions. Not only is healing a process, but microblading itself is as well. The initial microblading appointment is essential for laying a good foundation, but the final touch up appointment is where the process is completed. Trust the process!

EYEBROW TINT

Brow tinting is a semi-permanent dye that can enhance, shape, and define your brows. It's perfect for lighter or sparse brows, as it can make them one or two shades darker and result in a fuller, more dramatic shape.

HOW DOES IT WORK

Brow Lamination is a customized 3-step system that has been expertly formulated to address even the most challenging brow hairs. By realigning the directional hair growth, this treatment creates a more structured and voluminous look, resulting in a perfect, fluffy eyebrow look that's sure to impress. It's the ultimate solution for achieving Instagram model-worthy brows. Think of it as a professional-grade Brazilian blowout for your brows!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

To start, your artist will prep / clean the brow area and mix a custom shade specifically for you. The dye is applied and left on for several minutes, but the exact time will depend on the result desired: Longer for more intense, darker brows and shorter for a lighter effect. But overall the process usually takes about 15 minutes.

Benefits of Eyebrow Tinting

  • Define hair - Create face-framing magic that won’t require touching up through the day like eyebrow makeup does.

  • Quick results - Tints are fast processing, giving clients the results they want in no time while ensuring you increase your profits.

  • Custom colors - With a range of shades available, brow artists can tailor looks to each client’s needs, creating a mix that’s ideal for their hair shade, including black, blonde, and brown tones.

  • Natural looking eyebrows - Nobody wants brows that everyone looks at for the wrong reasons. By using a professional dye, it simply accentuates what’s there to create a natural appearance.

  • Gentle ingredients - Regular hair dye shouldn’t be used for brows. Only use specialist tint for eyebrows that’s been created for this sensitive facial feature.

  • Less makeup required - Clients can lower their makeup expenditure with tinting, removing the need to use eyebrow pencils, which may not last for the day or smudge (especially in hot weather).

EYELASH LIFT/PERM

With lash lift, you can enhance your natural lashes without much upkeep. The effects can last for up to 12 weeks, providing you with a low-maintenance and long-lasting look. Give it a try and experience the difference!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Lash lifting/perm is the ultimate solution for those with straight and curly lashes. It offers a formaldehyde free way to curl your lashes, giving your eyes a more open and enhanced look. With lash lifting, you can say goodbye to the hassle of using heated or clamped lash curlers and enjoy effortless beauty with little to no maintenance required. Plus, it eliminates the need for mascara and prevents lashes from pressing against the backs of glasses."

WHAT IS THE LASH LIFT PROCESS?

1. A silicone rod is glued along your lash line

2. Your lashes are glued down to a silicone shield - This take the longest amount of time because this will determine how the lashes look after everything is removed
3. The lifting lotion is applied to the root of the lashes & left on for 5 to 10 minutes depending on the strength/thickness of your lashes. The lifting lotion acts as a softener that's going in and softening the bond of your hair.
4. A setting solution is applied and also processes for 5 minutes. This step hardens everything back up and restructures the bond and makes them hard again, essentially locking in the shape.

5. The glue is water soluble so I remove the rod with lukewarm water.

6. Brow tint is applied to your eyelashes with a  which gives the darkest result  ( If you opt book a brow tint with your service)
